Liverpool ONE is the most important shopping, residential and leisure development in Liverpool’s city centre for more than 40 years. Covering 42 acres in the heart of the city, the development contains 160 shops totalling 130,000m2 of retail space, a multiplex cinema, restaurants, cafés and bars, together with apartments, hotels, and offices. To match this development, a bold and imaginative car parking solution was required.
The result was Q-Park Liverpool ONE, a striking 2,000-space, four-storey underground car park that represents the highest standards of design, convenience, safety and customer service. The contemporary scheme features a central core with four lifts and a spectacular spiral staircase – modelled on a windmill – giving access to all four parking levels.

The car park is further enhanced by atrium styling, which provides a cutting-edge art gallery feel, granite steps and dramatic lighting. Topping the striking spiral staircase is an eye-catching glass dome with a broad circular glass rim, which lets in natural daylight.
All materials used in the facility were selected for their durability, low maintenance and aesthetic appearance.
The car park’s dedicated control centre is housed in a highly visible, glass-fronted lodge, acting as a customer communication and information point.
Manned 24/7, the lodge is the hub of Q-Park’s operations’ team and is used for monitoring all incoming and outgoing vehicles and pedestrians via CCTV. There is also a direct link to the Liverpool ONE security centre.
