Art isn’t just in the museums – it may be part of your journey. At Q-Park, our purpose is to enhance urban liveability and connect communities by providing sustainable mobility solutions and seamless parking services. Staying connected to the communities and neighbourhoods close to our parking facilities is important to us, and we embrace creative solutions that contribute to this goal. For example, at Q-Park Museumplein, in the heart of Amsterdam’s Museum District, visitors can enjoy a unique underground preview of the wonderful works awaiting them to discover in the museums nearby.

Colourful showcase of art

A day at the museum often begins and ends at Q-Park Museumplein. As visitors walk from the parking area to the exit they can enjoy a colourful display of artworks ranging from old masters to contemporary pieces. Panels throughout the car park showcase works at the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, and Moco Museum. The magnificent Concertgebouw at the other end of Museumplein is also in the picture. These cultural institutions kindly provided images and background information, which were then carefully combined, produced, and installed. Handy QR codes allow visitors to purchase tickets or find more details online, inspiring them to explore the surrounding attractions.

We have installed almost 290 square meters of art to brighten the car park walkway. Twelve large panels, each measuring 4 by 5 meters, command attention, while 24 smaller panels add to the lively atmosphere. These images enhance the car park, make the walk to the exit more enjoyable, and contribute to a pleasant parking experience.
