Q-Park UK is honoured to once again be named as Parking Operator of the Year at the British Parking Awards 2024.

Launched in 2002 by Parking Review magazine, the British Parking Awards were immediately recognised as the ultimate celebration of excellence and achievement in parking management, design and innovation. Q-Park has an impressive history at these awards, having won prizes on several occasions as well as many other nominations.

The ‘Parking Operator of the Year’ category recognises parking providers who create a positive experience for motorists. The award recognises the work done to create easy-to-understand, non-confrontational and person-centric services. Q-Park demonstrated its experience and ongoing commitment to quality, innovation and positive change helped the company stand out from the other nominees for this award.

Quality does not just end with what customers physically see in the car park; it is also about how Q-Park is at the forefront of technological innovation to provide a more seamless customer journey. Ranging from installing market-leading PaSS ANPR systems to the large-scale roll-out of EV Charging Points, Q-Park is always looking to improve the service it offers.

Besides advancements in technology, Q-Park also demonstrated how it invests in both facilities and staff to ensure that what customers experience during their visit leaves them with a positive memory of their day. At Q-Park, we take the safety and security of our customers’ vehicles very seriously and have implemented a number of different measures to reduce crime. These include regular patrols, extensive CCTV coverage, bright LED lighting and customer-only entrances. Our parking spaces are also wider than the industry average to minimise the risk of bumps and scratches.

Customers sometimes need assistance and can speak to a Parking Host at the parking facility who can assist with any queries that they may have. A physical presence also helps reassure customers about the security of their vehicle. At Q-Park, we do not believe that simply having a Parking Host in the car park office 24/7 provides the best value to customers and the business as a whole. Our preference is for Parking Hosts to be in the facility undertaking various tasks, including cleaning, and to be available to escort any unauthorised persons to the exit.

If a customer requires assistance and is unable to locate a Parking Host, they can simply press the assistance button on any barrier, pay machine or help point. This will connect them to our 24/7 Customer Service Centre based in Leeds. The operatives can help the customer with most queries or can call the local response number to request a Parking Host urgently attend to provide customer support.

This is the second time in three years that Q-Park has been named ‘Parking Operator of the Year’ with judges’ feedback highlighting how Q-Park sets an example that all other operators either follow or should be following.

Adam Bidder, Managing Director of Q-Park UK commented: “We're thrilled to once again be recognised as the top parking operator in the UK. We've always believed in our excellence in this field, and it's a tremendous honour to receive this recognition from our industry peers.”
